Niykee, who has had a whirlwind few years including getting picked by Snoop to sing with him on the YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule even though she has been a bit busy. Her popularity is constant for new producers getting started. The tracks she gets are a source of songs. "I'll be able to tell within 5 seconds if it's a good beat. Once I have an idea in my head, I will start writing right away." My guitar sits on the back porch and I'll let my words flow. Most of the time, it's done in less than thirty minutes. Niykee says that as she develops as a lyricist her painful memories from her youth serve as inspiratoin. My experience of pain as a child up and losing my younger sister are present in my songs, even if they're not exactly literal. My songs are shaped by it and I can feel the deeper meaning underneath all of it. That's one of the things that is most significant to me.
